District VI Make It With Wool Contest

by Rochelle Butler

October 22, 2007

Eight students from Madison Elementary competed in the Make it with Wool contest. From 5th grade were Paige Casey and Bailey Talkington. From 4th grade were Piper Brandt, Kloey Shaw, Montana Thompson, and Megan Walstrom. From 3rd grade was MaeLee Harlan and from 2nd grade was Kinsey Harlan. The girls all sewed beautiful wool garments, and all of them won a piece of wool fabric, and other gifts. The contest was held in Eureka Kansas.

A big thank you goes out to Suzane Greenwood of Hamilton who helped the girls with their sewing. Thank you to Marsha Lilley and Hannah Lilley from Neal who drove up to volunteer their time to help the girls sew. Also to Mrs. Wine who allowed us to use her room and sewing machines.
