MJH Basketball vs Neosho Rapids

Bullpups Sweep All Four Games

Boys Basketball

JV boys took on Neosho Rapids and defeated them 7-6. It was a close victory due to Ed Alvarez's last second shot in the very last quarter. Leading off in the first quarter was Ruger Shaw with an outstanding 3-point shot, ending the quarter 3-4. The second quarter was a nail-biter with Ed Alvarez and Austin Buce putting 2 extra points each on the board for the Junior Varsity team ending the game 7-6. Scorers were Ed Alvarez 2, Austin Buce 2, and Ruger Shaw 3.

The Varsity team dominated the Jaguars 34-14. During the first quarter the boys outscored them by ten with the score being 13-3. In the second quarter, Damian Gutierrez, Tanner Bybee, Kole Schankie, and Collin Kile all added 2 extra points leaving the quarter at 21-6. Coming back in the second half, the boys, still in the lead, were reigning over the opposition with Collin Kile, Tanner Bybee, and Damian Gutierrez all scoring another 2 points each while letting the Jaguars only score 3 more points against them. The third quarter ended 27-10. In the very last quarter Tyler Williams, Kole Schankie, and Collin Kile all contributed 2 points ending the game 34-14. Scorers were Tyler Willaims 7, Damian Gutierrez 4, Tanner Bybee 4, Kole Schankie 10, Collin Kile 8, and Willie Derryberry with 1.

Girls Basketball

The Madison Bullpup JV girls won the score was 10-2. Tyler Farthing and Morgan Thomsen each scoring 4 points and Georgette Cooper with 2.

The Bullpup Varsity team had an exciting win against the Jaguars. The score was 28-26. Our girls came out thinking they were going to win, but the 1st and 2nd quarter didn't go so well, the score was 6-6 at half-time. The Pups came out ready to play in the second half. In the 3rd quarter they scored 5 points while the Jaguars outscored them with 10. The 4th quarter we started playing with more effort and came out with a victory, scoring 17 to their 10.  Scorers for the game were: Tyler Farthing-12, Danielle Hinrichs-6, Shelby Melton-4, Lindsey Buster-4, and Kylie DeWitt-2.
