Olpe Takes 3 of 4 Games

Boys Basketball

The JV boys took on the Olpe Eagles with all their might, but came out on bottom with the score ending at 27 to 7. During the first quarter, Ruger Shaw managed to shoot a quite successful 3-pointer, while the Eagles scored 10 points of their own.In the second quarter the boys made 2 more shots thanks to Willie Derryberry and Nick Young, who both added to Madison's score. However, the boys' efforts were not enough to win the game. The Eagles scored 17 points in the second quarter, winning the game.

Later that night, the Varsity boys had a tremendous game. In the first quarter the boys stayed ahead and didn't let the opposition score a point. Kole Schankie and Tanner Bybee both scored 2 points each, leaving the first quarter's score at 4-0. During the second quarter, Collin Kile added 5 points to the board for the Bullpups and Kole Schankie shot and scored a free throw, leaving the halftime score at 10 to 8. In the third quarter Damian Gutierrez put up 2 extra points, Tanner Bybee put up 4 extra points and Tyler Williams put up an outstanding 3 points shot ending the quarter 19-24. The fourth quarter was really intense with all of the starters scoring points with Tyler scoring 2, Damian scoring 6, Tanner scoring 4, Kole scoring 2, and Collin scoring 2 leaving the game with the total being Madison Bullpups 35 to Olpe Eagles 32. The scorers were Tyler Williams 5, Damian Gutierrez 8, Tanner Bybee 10, Kole Schankie 5, and Collin Kile 7.

Girls Basketball

Madison played hard ball against Olpe but just couldn't pull out a victory. Final score was 20-47. Top scorer for the lady pups was Tyler Farthing with 12. Additional points were put on the board by Danielle Hinrichs-2, Lindsey Buster-2, and Kylie DeWitt-2.
