Lady Dawgs Demolish Bearcats

Coming into the final game before Christmas break, the Lady Dawgs were prepared to win on their home turf.  The first quarter showed things getting off to a good start as Madison scored 13 points to Burlingame’s 8 points.  In the second quarter, the Dawgs more than doubled their points from the previous quarter, making the score 31-16 in favor of Madison going into the half.

     Coming back pumped up, the Madison defense once again kept Burlingame from scoring more than 8 points, while the offense put up another 22 points.  The fourth quarter showed Madison sealing the deal, leaving the score at a final 66-33.

     The leading scorer for the Lady Dawgs was Shelby Buster with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals.  Following was Morgan Stout with 15 points and Tera Titus with 11 points and 9 rebounds.  Senior Abby Kile went on a scoring drive and ended the game with 10 points.  Also throwing in 2 points each was Jennifer Finch, Molly Ballard, and Chelcie Schankie.  Misty Waggoner contributed 1 point.

     The Lady Dawgs will continue to practice hard over Christmas break and look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year.  The Dawgs play at home on Friday, January 4 against Chase County.  Hope to see you there!
