After two days of no school and one practice, the Lady Dawgs were ready to go as they traveled to Hartford to take on the Lady Jaguars.
The first quarter showed clear dominance as the Dawgs scored 20 points to the Jags 10. The second quarter continued to show that Madison couldn’t be brought down, as they entered halftime in the lead with a score of 44-27. Coming into the third quarter, the Dawgs’ defense held the Lady Jaguars to only 11 points, while the offense put 18 more points on the board. Going into the fourth quarter, the score was 62-38. Madiosn decided to make quick work of it and ended the game with a score of 84-56. Morgan Stout led the team in points with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Not far behind was senior Abby Kile with 17 points. Tera Titus had 15 points and 8 rebounds, Chelcie Schankie had 14 points, 2 rebounds and 3 steals, and Shelby Buster had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bethany Whitehurst threw in 3 points, Danielle Bond scored 2 points, and 1 point each went to Molly Ballard and Misty Waggoner.
Madison’s last game before break is a home game against the Burlingame Bearcats, Tuesday night. The first game of the New Year will be Friday, January 4, at home versus Chase County. Hope to see you all there!
