Track Girls Sweep LCL Meet

Boys Take 2nd

The Madison High School track team took to the road for just a short trip to Emporia State University Thursday May 8th to compete at the Lyon County League track meet. There were 9 other teams in the LCL, but that wasn't enough to out do the Lady Dawgs track team. The girls placed first by 12 points leaving Olpe trailing in the dust 115 to 103. It's been a long 24 years since the Lady Dawgs have been LCL Champs, although they have placed 2nd many years just falling by 3 to Waverly last year. It was a great accomplishment and Coach Mac hopes to carry on the tradition.The guys also did an outstanding job placing 2nd, but couldn't quite make the leap for 1st.
